Intercooler Fluid Additives?

Anyone here use any additives with the fluid you use in you IC? what results have you gained? I'm just curious if the Chill Charger from WBS is worth a damn or not. Personally i've ONLY used distilled water and its worked good, biut if I can get more of a gain, I WANT IT! :D I'm not interested in ice boxes or anything like that, i'm just interested in fluid in a standard system. What do you guys do? Thanks...

I've been watercooling computers for a while and found that additives don't do much. The only reason antifreeze is around is because of the extreme temperatures it is subjected to. It raises the boiling point of the water while lowering the freezing point.

That being said, unless it helps with either of those two cases (the liquid boiling or freezing), I wouldn't do it. If I were to do it, I'd probably go distilled water with just a little antifreeze (maybe 1/3 antifreeze) to keep it from freezing.

I have never tired it and never thought it would work, but I have a friend that races a 69 GTO and he runs some sort of additive that is supposed to make his cooling system cool better. According to him it made a pretty big difference, sorry I don't have numbers, I have a bad memory when it comes to remembering things like this.

probably water wetter in the goat, a bunch of racers swear by it, never saw a huge improvement on my cars (I rana griffin rad and had the system working correctly anyway)

I remember WBS used to sell a DEI Chill Charger specifically for A/W ICs... I don't see it on there anymore, maybe it don't work worth a **** and they got rid of it?
