intake manifold

I need the fastest input possible, the plastic plenum warped on me causing me to have to have it replaced, thus having to take the plenum off the intake and due to the crud that is all in the manifold i also removed the lower manifold. To my surprise i ended up with the left side of the heads clogged with this pinkish whateverthe*youcallit and dont know what it is. Few questions with that is what is it and how do I get rid of it?
Second question is the plenum has this inner plastic piece that directs the flow to the cylinders and if I were to install the plenum without it what would be the effects?

It's fine and normal. The intake has no flow at that port. Take a look..it's a solid wall of manifold that the crud hits.

Clean it w/o getting it into the lifter valley area and finsih the job.
