Intake Manifold Replacement questions?

I hope this is the right place to post this question.
I am getting ready to tear down my intake and replace both the UIM and LIM gaskets because they are leaking. I have an '02 GP N/A.
I have been reading conflicting info on bolting down both the UIM and the LIM. GM says you have to replace the bolts on the LIM with new ones with thread sealant already applied. Other people have said that no, you don't need to replace the bolts...just put some sealant on the old bolts and torque them down. I am confused. If I can reuse the old bolts, do I need sealant? And if so, what kind of sealant? Threadlocker? Thread sealant?
And, what about the UIM bolts? Can they be reused? Do they need sealant or threadlock also?
Thanks for any help you can give me on this.....I'm confused.....

only bolts that i replace are head bolts. ive never put sealant on my lim or uim bolts and got along just fine.

youre supposed to put sealant on some of the LIM bolts as they hit coolant. if you ever see any of them seeping then you know what you did.
