Intake fabrication

Hey guys wanted to share the progress on my intake setup for switching to turbo. Comments and suggestions welcome. Im just going to route the PCV passages to the inlet of the turbo.

Old school rule of thumb was to build the mailbox 2 or 3 times the displacement of the motor. But it looks like it's too late for that. Looks good though. I like the color.

You know I was pondering that myself on the size but the hole in the lower intake is only about 4x4, unless you got one of ZZPs "ported" lower intakes (which on the supercharger application does absolutely nothing because the blower outlet is only about 4x4 as well) and then fabbed the intake to cover the whole thing. The air is only going to fit through the hole in the lower intake so the way I see it it wouldn't make a difference of how big the upper intake was on a boosted car. Does that make sense?

It does. I'm pretty sure the reason they recommend a larger design is so there is a "reservoir" that will cause less turbulence and erratic map and maf readings. But I doubt you will have any problems. I have seen lots of intakes with similar design rum without and problems.
