Instrument panel cowel thingy?

Hey dudes. Bought a 2006 GP Base that came with cracked windshield. Before I get it replaced, I wanted to get ahold of the plastic piece that sits right in front of the instrument panel but under the windshield wipers (inside). This piece also houses the theft deterrent light and the solar sensor too. Mine's is cracked all to hell. What the heck is this piece called and where can I get one cheap? I wanna avoid the stealership of course. Anyone ever replaced this part?

Heck there was one in great condition at a junk yard I went to last week. I'm planning to go make another trip

The one I use is called a pick n pull. It's in Wellington nc.

Thanks for the link spazzzzz. That's the one. Upper trim panel. W/O HUD is more $$$. That's redonkulous for a piece of GM plastic. What a ripoff.
Any other cars that might have the same trim panel besides the GP? I understand we have some close cousins of the GP in the GM family.

Another pick a part joint just opened up the road, but you don't know what vehicles they have in stock. LKQ lists new arrivals on their website. I'm trying to upkeep a '99 Infiniti i30, a 2002 4 runner and now this car, so knowing what just arrived on the yard really helps.
LKQ are great, got two of them here.

If its not all in pieces, or you can't get one easy enough, maybe you could try some plastic epoxy.
Just sand everything smooth and paint it.

It's in two chunks, but I could epoxy. Amazingly enough, there's an 05 on Craigslist and it has a photo of the dash. Big *ss crack in the exact same place. What does it take to get that panel out of there?

Thanks again spazzz. After I saw this I'm rethinking this repair. I might end up living with it for a while. I was hoping I could get to it easily with the windshield out. Doesn't look like it will be as easy as I had hoped.

Yo Me, it's super easy to get that out. I used a painters 5- in- 1 knife for most of the panels to get them started until I could get my fingers in there. Be careful of the ignition ring, its the only piece that sorta broke. It has 4 tabs that hold it in and my dumbass broke two of them. I just used some black RTV to hold it in place. The sensors on that cowl thingy have limited room to remove/install because of the wire length. But yeah, you can do it.

Started pulling this out and it is a ****tch. Theres some ultra sticky foam strip back there that won't let go. I will not let it win though. Now if I can find a cowl at the junkyard, installation looks to be alot easier.
