But how?

Im guessing its glued in, so whats the easiest method to removing this stock strip and loosening up the glue and what not?

AND...

What do you all use to hold the roof rails down? 3M Tape, some kind of glue?

Good question. I have a set of roof rails that are starting to peal up. From what I can see it looks like some kind of a caulk/glue was used to hold them down. I'm thinking about cleaning that all out and using the 3M molding tape myself.

yeah, remove the stock trim "rail".. just pull it up and off, hot day makes it easier
then us 3M tape to put it back down after cleaning out the channel!

I've pulled them before, its got that stupid foam adhesive crap, so have fun cleaning it up, lol

goo gone, rags, and time ;)

not really, once you get under it, it pulls easy,

you can even do the fishing line trick, treat them like a badge, held on EXACTLY the same
