SO I ordered an intake from "Chrome Intakes" through ebay as I've seen and heard many good things about it (even some from the forums here.) I just wanted an inexpensive intake...This is what the sent me:

It looks great! But here's the thing, that's ALL they sent...And upon attempting to remove the stock air filter in my GP, I noticed alot of different wires among other things connected to it. Needless to say, I just screwed everything back on and just left it the way it is. But I've had this thing for a couple months now and I'm eager to put it on. For those who have installed a CAI, is this all I need or do I need some more parts for installation?

Oh, and I have a 1999 GPGT. Not SC.

be brave, unfasten stuffs,toss old air box and intake tubing aside
put pcm in relative postition,
fasten blue boot to throttle body and to chrome tube,install filter,
drill hole for intake air sensor and pop sensor in(with rtv)
toss engine cover
enjoy da wine

Wow! Those pics are really helpful. When got to the processor part, that's what kind of shook me. But even still, like I said above, that intake is the only thing that came to me. I don't have any brackets, mounts, etc. Know where I can find some?
 
Lowes, Home Depot or any hardware store.

Youll need a Band Clamp and a Rubber coupler.

I believe you already have the rubber coupler on there, but you'll still need a band clamp to clamp the coupler onto the Throttle Body.

Drill a hole in the Pipe to place the IAT sensor in, either use a grommet or RTV so its sealed tightly.

Just look at my signature and you can see my Intake.

Easy Peasy.
 
I should have taken a better pic, but the coupler and the band clamp are already there. Plus there's a hole drilled on the top of the pipe. :th_thumbsup-wink:

My concern is mounting and the placing the processor. It didn't come with anything to do so.
 
Then you're good to go.

Remove stock air box and tubing.

Clamp new Intake on throttle body, pop in the IAT sensor in the pre-drilled hole.

Don't worry about the PCM. Just set it right where it is. I have mine tied down with some string. Some people use zipties and others just leave it there.

Which ever way you choose, the PCM is just fine in the open.
