Input Shaft ZZP or Intense?? 500 whp

Can anybody comment on the ZZP and Intense Input Shafts? Car is around 500 whp turbo 2006 Monte Carlo SS v8. Car will be run on slicks...

I see that ZZP offers an upgraded shaft 300M that handles more power, but intense only offers the one or a GM Racing piece that is $$$$. I was pretty much set on the 300M option from ZZP, but they are out of stock for a few weeks.

Anybody know of either units breaking?

It doesn't matter which brand you get, it only matters what material they're made from if they'll hold up to the power your putting to it or not. Of-course the GM shaft is going to be the best of the best though.

I know a few people that have broken the 4340 shaft but not heard of anyone breaking the 300M shafts. I have used all of them over the years and the best two in my opinion are the Intense shaft and the ZZP 300M shaft, though I prefer the machining and overall quality of the Intense piece better and that is what I use in my builds. About a year ago Intense switched to a different shaft design which is made by the same company that makes the GM race shaft and looks identical. They were out of stock for a while but just got them in a week ago so you shouldnt have any trouble going that route. You will be fine with either shaft for your power level and you are likely going to break other parts before either of the input shaft is a concern.
