inner tie rod staking tool anyone?

Need help with the inner tie rod replacement. got it swapped and torqued down but i cannot crimp the tie rod onto the rack and pinion piston.

Any tips or write ups would be great. i tried searching.

You mean the clamps for the boots?

If you are talking about the clamp on the boot, you can get crimping pliers at Harbor Freight. They may list them as tile nippers. Also measure where the boot was on the old tie rod end. If you crimp it too far out and make a sharp turn you can tear the boot.

i used a zip tie on the boot to hold it in place. its just a dust boot.
