Important - My Account Has Been Hacked

This is a very important message that my Overkill account has been hacked on this board, as well as my local OQCGP forum.

The Hotmail account I was using for Overkill Motorsports has also been hacked. Please disregard any emails that come from that box as of right now!!!

If the administrators can assist at all in my regaining access to my account, please post and let me know.

This is not a joke!!! :mad:
 


Will, one of the Admins, myself included, should be able to help but we would have to reset your password I believe. Can you PM one of us with details and we'll try to help. I wont be able to do much now as I have got to get to bed as I have to be back up in 4hrs.

But if one of the other Admins arent available, I'll try and square you away in the morning if that would be okay.
 
PM sent. Locking the account would also be sufficient.

Also please note that my website getoverkilled.ca has been taken down temporarily, as payments were being sent to paypal attached to that hotmail account and I'll have to set that all back up again.
 
Damn, sorry to here about this. I hope you get this squared away soon. I think you got my paypal payment, right? I just wanted to make sure.

Just to update, I haven't had any luck on getting back into my hotmail account, whoever it is changed the password recovery questions as well. They were also able somehow to send themselves payment through paypal using my account, though the money has been recovered this morning and I was able to log in to paypal so I don't think the account was hacked per say. Paypal offered no explanation for what happened.

I'm a little disturbed as you can imagine, this all happens a week within broadcasting my site. The person that *may* have done this is a member of clubgp and grandprixforums and a customer of mine. I care much less about the whys then the hows, that does concern me.

Sorry to hear this Will, that really sux!!!! Is the email addy you have been sending me messages through still safe or is that the one with problems? After the whole ZZP thing late last year when someone hacked in and was emailing out discoung coupon codes I was sicked by it and decided not to add a checkout setup to my website so everything would be handled through me personally. Sorry to see you have to pull your site down and I hope you get everything figured out.
 
It's a horrible thing that people do this kinda of crap...especially if it's another GP member. This is supposed to be a supportive community, not a destructive one. I wish you all the best in getting these issues resolved without too many problems

Most items have been resolved thankfully. It will take me several days to recode the payment system on my website, that's probably the biggest inconvenience. I haven't though seen anyone parading around on my old accounts on the forums which is something I expected.

Dave, you can still email me at the sympatico email account we've communicated with.

And no worries for anyone that placed an order before the site went down, the information is still there in paypal and everything has or will go out shortly that was supposed to.

No updates on who did it or how but the admins here have been very helpful, they got me back in to my old account so I could change the password and now I know it's secure.

Many are finding me at my new Gmail email account and I'm still recoding the website payment system but it will be back again very soon.
 
gald to hear it, cant wait for the site to get back up and fully operational. Have some friends "up north" that can use your services
