• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

ive had my 04 imp SS for some time now and i got this one after i totaled my original one. i have a few back up vehicles now so now i can build her up. i was a member on NAIOA but that place has died off. so im looking into modding my car starting with the exhaust headers and going catless, then rockers with a good tune from will at overkill. ive already done a CAI, i know my way around older cars/trucks and ive put a cummins into my 91 chevy pickup. can weld and all that good stuff, just need some help with crap like install. mainly header bolt sizes and exhaust clamp sizes. most crap i can figure out but i dont want to be doing all this work only having to stop every 10 minutes to go get a new part.

so if you guys can point me to a good write up that would be nice or even just tell me what sizes or problems i might run into like the trans dipstick on the headers, not sure if i want to block off my egr or not. what are the pros and cons?

The size of exhaust clamp you need will most likely be specific to the exhaust that you get. Most come with band clamps when they are necessary. For header bolts, I like these ARP Stainless bolts

They're a little pricey, but if you're getting stainless headers, they'll make them look a lot better.

The dipstick should be the only issue with header install.

Block the EGR if you're going to be tuned (Check your local laws first, you might need it to pass emissions if you have those). It deposits a lot of carbon buildup in the engine.
