alright so i got a new motor. put the cam in etc etc....dropped it back in fired up ran like a champ. bled the cooling system and such, went for a spin. id say i ran it for about an hour and a half and did about 4 wot runs. i get it back home and hop out with it running to listen to the idle and i hear a clattering sound. so i crack the throttle and yep...rod knock. AGAIN. I have no idea whats going wrong but thats 3 ****ing motors that have done the EXACT same thing.

i did after the last motor and he said it sounded like a faulty oil pump. i bought a 97 lesabre with a blown trans for 200 bucks. so i heard this motor run. it ran perfect, carried about 40-50psi of oil pressure etc. put it in my car and it knocks. what the piss is goin on?
 


so you bought a motor thats over 10 years old and you didnt bother to open it up and rebuild it?

i didnt feel like buying 300 bucks worth of tty bolts. ive tried the rebuilding thing, its easier to just get a short block and throw in.
 


short blocks realy dont seem to be working for you at this rate you could have just bought a zzp shortblock by now

sucks to here though Im still waiting for the day something goes wrong on mine
 
oil pump pressure relief valve...the ****er stuck open, bled off all pressure, and knock knock
 
that **** sucks sorry to here only stuff not new on my engine was the actual block and covers and ucks all internals were new read way to much of bottom end issues
 


damn dude sorry to hear about all this BS hope you get everything figured out. cant believe that was your 3rd motor!
