Ignition Coil and Spark Plug Wires

I hear ppl say stock is better ac delco... And I hear ppl say "Just get zzp coils and 10.5 wires etc... I want to hear from experience players. Which one or is it just a cosmetic preference?

PS, what's this deal about NGK Spark Plugs?

Stock coils and stock wires.

Anything else is just spending extra money. Larger wires aren't going to make the spark any stronger or better if the coil pack itself and the entire ignition isn't shoving out more voltage.


What deal about NGK plugs?

You didn't really ask a question there. Sure you can use them and they work but I'd some people use them and other don't. Stock delco plugs if you want them to last 80-100k miles or cooper core plugs for really modded engines because they are much cheaper to get when you need a colder heat range plug.

Thanks for chiming in!.. NGK is what everyone is talking about on these forums is why I asked. Just want to try to clear things up for my opinion is all.

NGK makes a good replacement plug and I agree about wires and coils..

MSD coils were known to cause misfires as quickly as 6 months after being put on the car.
 
OE is more than fine. On my first tune-up, I used Delco plugs and wires. The second time, I used Bosch plugs and MSD 8.5mm wires (wanted red wires) and two years later have yet to have any issues.
 
You know what I ran when I did heads, cam, N*, Gen V, headers, IC, EWP etc etc?

Stock coils.. and until I had to moosh the wires I had Delco's.. at that point I needed more insulation and went to PRJ's. Aka better than ZZP equivalents that didn't let you down.
