Idle issues after LIM gasket replacement

Alright so the other day I replaced my intake manifold gasket, and after I finished, she started right up. However, the RPMs were running very high initially. Im assuming thats somewhat normal tho. After running for a while and reaching and idle, it was apparent it was not idling correctly. I did notice while doing the repair that a few of my vacuum hoses were cracked by the base. Could this idle issue just be because of the vacuum lines? Im just hoping i didnt screw anything up while doing the gasket replacement... Any help is appreciated!

How bad were the cracks? If bad enough to not seal tightly and allowing your motor to suck in unmetered air, yep that will do it. Fix your vacuum boots and make sure you have no other vacuum leaks and you should be set!!

If you want, go to the parts store and get an assortment pack of vacuum pieces along with some new vacuum line and redo it all.

best to just go buy 4 feet of new vac tubing and 2 new T's, costs around 5 bucks with the T's to do most of the problem lines.

for the line still on the vac tree's that are plastic, its best to cut them off with a new sharp razor, support under the line and then slice it. the plastic vac tree parts can break quite easy if your not careful .
