first things first i have an 06 base gp. I've been looking into getting some subs. i was looking into either two 12's from frostgate or RE. i planned on getting them in one box and try to fit them in the very far back of the trunk where it begins to get smaller but i doubt two 12's would fit. so i wanted to get some suggestions of what i should do. maybe i should get one 15 instead of two 12's?

The reason i need trunk space is because im in the Army ROTC program and i have a ruck thats pretty big and it need it to fit in the trunk. Any suggestions on what i should do?

I have a single 12" that works just fine and still have room for a ruck and one duffle bag. After you are done with ROTC then upgrade from one sub to two subs. just sayin....

each car even teh same car can produce different effects, you can easily fit a box under the rear window tray. that how mine are now. And which subs you talking about? fosgate and re are 2 diff catogories

LOL at frostgate
-.- you know what i meant to say!
Couldn't you just throw it in the backseat?
Yeah but the area we train at is muddy! and when we ruck, it gets soaked with sweat. i don't think anyone wants their car smelly and dirty. at least i don't.
He is becoming an Officer, no explanation needed :th_jester:
LOL :D

Oh! that looks interesting, and it looks like exactly what i was thinking space wise. now i wonder if they would sound good. Thanks!
Bottom line get a box built around your car's cabin gain for the best results!!!!
Sounds expensive and like it requires skills and tools i don't have :( Thanks though!

Could you show me a picture of your setup? and i was thinking the p3d412 or the sex12d4. Maybe even some cvr12's. Was thinking about waiting for the new Kicker Compr 12's but have no idea how long those would take to come out. :\

i had 2 10" with a 1000 watt amp, literally just barely fit in there, had to put my spare tire in the back seat LMAO

Look into Fi Audio. I run two fosgate P3 12's, and while I'm happy with them, could have gotten way more bang for buck.

I think the fis are too epensive for me. 200+ for every sub. I think sonicelectronix has 1 p3d412 for 139. Although if i do go with one sub, theres a possibility i may look into them more. Thanks for the suggestion.

Another question while im at it.. someone told me that a grand prix's alternator may not be able to handle 1200rms (the two sex12d4). is this true? After these subs i plan i upgrading the 6.5s and 6x9 and amping those too. havnt looked into many speakers yet though. Thanks

im pushing close to 2k watts, set 1750 rms set with dmm, look up the big three and you should be fine. and you will not be going by rms on sub. it will come down to the efficaincy of the amp how much it pulls. what amp you gonna be using? and i have a setup like this, i own the se line before it became the se-x. the x-lines spawn from the re buyout and alotta of it is known to be junk now. if your looking at re, look at the pro line. there pro line is there orignial stuff rebadged. heres a pic of the subs in my trunk.
