• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I thought the Monsoon Stereo was supposed to have 9 speakers?

There is supposedly a built in treble boost (17 - 20kHz) for the tweeters and a 300Hz band notch filter for the woofers (to avoid the resonance typical of a speaker mounted in a relatively large enclosure (ie door, trunk)), but I haven't independently confirmed that.

17-20khz is virtually impossible to hear. I believe 14khz is the topmost frequency for most people's hearing

You're right on the 17-20kHz thing. My hearing tops out at 16kHz, at least based on the files on this site:

Mosquito Tone Test, or How To Tell You're A Young'un // Plasticmind Journal

Depressing, because I used to be able to hear to 20kHz in high school.

Anyway, I was just repeating what I read. Some guy did a sine sweep with a microphone in his car (a VW with a Monsoon) and that's what he found. Don't know what carries over to this car.
