I need some bright lights for my 02 gtp



I used Sylvania Ultra-stars for a couple years,that got expensive..they only last a year...so I went HID
but a HID projector retro would be the 'proper' way to go
 
Ok so im trying to black my car out so are there any black or smoked ones that are bright and look good? some good ones that wont burn up in a few weeks.
 
probably the quickest solution to your initial plight,would be a HID kit from DDM,Amazon,etc...you will get some major azz whoopin brightness. You will be able to see a-lot better down the road,not sure if oncoming traffic will. That would no doubt be your most cost effective solution....After that install and some researching(Google), about other concepts,black tint,projectors(retro TRS),spyders?, you will be able to make a well informed decision of what YOU want.
 
Go to ebay and look for black headlight capsules to give your headlight the tinted/dark look.

As for Bright lights, Retro fits are the way to go but require some work and are expensive.

The cheap route is HIDs, buy VVME HIDs.

Youll need 9007 for your headlights and 880 for foglights.

Rather than blinding oncoming traffic with HID plug and play kits, get decent bulbs (silverstars, ZXE, Luminics...) then build a relay harness. wire the relay harness so that when you turn on your lowbeams the facatory headlight plug turns on a relay and runs power straight from the battery to new plugs that are plugged into your bulbs. I have found that stock wiring has a lot of resistance and you lose voltage. for example, on my 95 Jimmy I had 11.3 volts or so at my headlight plugs. Once I built the Relay harness I had 14.4 volts at the new headlight plugs. with Silverstar Ultras my ligt output was still controlled and non-blinding to oncoming traffic, pure white rather than the dingy amber most halogen lights are, and bright! they were brighter than my Highbeams. but the beam pattern was still controlled by the reflector so there was no glare. Just a thought... 5 bucks for a relay, 10 bucks for the new plugs, and wire... Most of us probably have wire in our garages...

They are only $30 on Ebay.



If you buy HID, PLEASE BUY PROJECTORS TOO OR YOU WILL BLIND PEOPLE, UNLESS YOU PUT THEM IN YOUR FOGS!

Lol. Blacked/smoked don't have very good light on the road.. If your having problems seeing now, well you should just drive with no lights if you want to tint them!!!!

Kind of makes no sense wanting brighter headlights when you want to tint the housings.....
