I just had them tested and both are cracked. The bone yards want 150 each, and I have little funds at this time but will save up if necessary.

Should I go a ahead and upgrade so this doesn't happen again? I'm looking for an opinion on quality vs cost.

cracked where? its common to be cracked between the valve seats and its hard to find a set without that. they will still work fine so long as it isnt really deep.

if you do upgrade heads, take them to a motor builder and have them work on them.
