so i am not a noob whatsoever when it comes to car audio, but i have no idea about a grand prix. I have a 2002 GpGt and today i got a dash kit and wiring harness to install my pioneer head unit but the wiring harness wouldnt connect, later in the night my friends were gonna head out to best buy to pick up a few things so i thought i would stroll over to the car audio section and speak with a representative. I told him my situation and he continued to tell me if i wanted to keep my door chimes, hud, and the little things that is the diagram of your car with all the different pieces of information, my wiring harness would set me back $120!!! i was very disappointed being 17 $120 is not a large amount of money but that seems to be a little ridiculous for a wiring harness. Does anyone know how i can get the wiring harness for a cheaper price? Please let me know ASAP. thanks in advance.

it shouldn't have onstar...that is some bull...should have told the guy u didn't need all of that junk...how much was the harness you already have ( the one that doesn't fit? )...you should just straight wire it into the radio's channels on the back of the HU, thats what I had to do with my car, and I have that $120 dollar one for my 06 but thats the only one they make for my model...

you should keep ur HUD, on my DIC I lost my date and time...nothing you can do about that one cause it runs off the factory HU...everything else in my car works though....get the cheap wiring harness...only thing it will keep is the onstar and chimes BS

but like the wiring harness i got didnt connect to the factory one the was coming out of my dash. I dont know where to get one that will fit. and btw what is DIC?

DIC is Driver Indicator Control...that would be the little computer screen on the 04+ models with the 3 or 5 button...for your model I think it pictures a car on the dash? I'm not even sure if its called a DIC for older models...

you mean the clips didn't connect right? they do that to try and "make things easier" so you won't have to straight wire each wire...$120 bucks is tooo much though, i'm still ticked about mine :\
