Like 2.5 weeks ago we got a monster hail storm while I was at work and I got to stand at the window and watch golf ball-sized hail stones bounce off my car for 15 minutes, we even saw a few that were closer to a tennis ball... thank god they all missed our cars though.

So after the hail stopped we went to survey the damage. My hood and roof were a mess of dents, and my windshield was cracked down the entire driver side. It's still drivable, there's no visibility issue... but awesome me and my procrastination had all month to get my car inspected and I didnt, so about 3 days after this my inspection ran out. Nobody around wants to give me a sticker cause if the windshield broke out and someone got hurt, it would be on their ass. The cops are nazis around here for inspection stickers so I cant risk it.

Went to the body shop and they gave me an estimate of $2600 for the windshield replace and paintless dent repair, insurance gave it the ok, I got a 500 deductible, whatever. I try to make an appointment to get the work done and he tells me that the "dent repair guy" is out at another location for the next 2 weeks, and I cant schedule repairs until then. So now I cant even bring my car in until the 20th.

Driving my parent's 95 ford exploder right now, it's just not the same enjoyment to drive... and it doesnt even have a cd or tape player, just a straight radio. Arrrrgggg I wanna drive my car agan!!!
 


lol...its not like you would stand in it like a retard...it would still hurt to get hit by it, but id do it to save my car lol...that is if there was even a place to hide the car...
 
hail the size of a tennis ball could kill you dead! or fvck your week up real good for sure lol

i'd have them do the new windshield asap, and come back for the dents.

you don't fail inspection for dents, and f that explorer, they suck!

my inspection is 2 months over due now, still waiting for a good rack to be delivered, so i feel your fear of that ticket, over here it $225 for over due inspection.

I said to him well cant I just have you do the windshield now and then I'll get the dents taken care of later..

He told me there would be insurance issues if he did it in 2 seperate jobs, it would be like 2 seperate claims and 2 deductibles to pay..

Oh yeah and there wasnt anywhere to go, it's all open areas except for the gas station across the parkinglot, which was already full of people driving that flew in there soon as the hail started comin down, lol.
 


that sucks they wont work with ya on that. a lot of ins company's now fix windshields for free, idk if your plan works this way or not. still sucks. friggin acts of god they say lol
