I may be trading the car off...

I may be in a pickle with my car. The car itself is not the problem. I had a severe TFCC injury to my wrist in May last year. I have had two surgeries to repair the damage. I am in the home stretch before release right now with it. I have been told that it would be a VERY wise decision to never do push ups, benchpress, or anything that would require extreme pressure on my wrist due to the nature of the surgery that was needed to fix my injury. I believe that I will have a weight limit set on my wrist but who knows. Anyway, with the limitations that I have now and may have in the future I may not be the best position to keep making a payment like I am right now. The payment is managable but it puts a extreme strain on me because I also have child support to pay which is double of my car payment. I am currently looking at another car right now but not sure how it will go. I am keeping my eyes open for things that I like and deals that I may be able to manage. Its amazing how something can change your life so quickly.

Well, the thing is that the NADA trade in on my car is 9,075. I owe the same amount on it. The payment is only 210 a month with a 6.29 % rate. I have an attorney involved in all of this and it all may work out that I can pay the car off If I get a settlement from the inursance company. I really do not know at this point what the outcome will be. I think maybe I should just kick back and relax a bit and see how things turn out. At least until I'm released. I just do not want to end up in the position with little or no settlement and then not be able to get my parenting plan modified and then pay down on my car. If I am limited too what I can do before i can finish college its really gonna hurt trying to pay. I will manage though one way or another. My car is about to hit 93k miles and I just hope it holds up for the next 4 years without issue. Thanks for your concern.
