• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Two weeks after buying a car It is now overheating at Idil. I put in 180° thermostat And also flush the system. Still day is over heating thing at Idil And I don't know what to do so if anybody can help me out with thing I would appreciate it

I did bleed it and have not yet changed tcs but have it on hand. From what I understand there's two phases of fan speeds. From what I understand the fan one relay in the under hood fuse block Controls the low speed fan. My fan doesn't turn on untill the temp on the guage is 3/4 of the way up.

If you could clarify to what you consider "overheated"
If your cooling system has no air in it, and it has no leaks, fans woorking properly, it is not uncommon to see 220f at low ground speed or sitting still.
If it's not showing in the red zone on the gauge, it's ok. But it is a good thing that you take notice to the rising temp, it is just a fact that these car are designed to run
hot, epecially at low speed to reduce emmisions.

If the needle is in the red and you have checked everything else look to a possible cylinder head crack. My buddies GTP had a hairline crack between 4 and 6. Infact we spent days looking at everything else. We finally pulled the heads and took them to the machine shop. Replaced the head that was cracked and all is well.
