What car, what motor??

Double check all plug in, grounds, fuses etc etc..

If the starter just clicks, then you have a grounding issue.
 
As long as you hooked up the ground and starter wires properly, then your battery is questionable. Check connections at the grounds, starter and then battery terminals
 


Thanks I haven't had much time to get out and work on it I'm almost positive it's a ground issue
