• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

i hope somebody can help me

I have had a 97 gtp for about 4 years almost 91,000 miles on it, have done a tune up, put a new supercharger, cps, and icm on it and it was running fine, i gutted the cat, replaced the resignater with a glass pack and removed the mufflers. Now while im driveing it feels like it cuts out nd right back in but its not all the time, we have a motis at our shop and that told me the 2 codes were for the mass air flow sensor and the left bank running lean, a guy i work with told me he thinks there is a chance the fuel pump is going bad so we put the pressure tester on and it stayed at about 40 when it was running good when it was running bad it stayed right between 38 and 40psi i dont really have the money right now to just put a mass air flow sensor on and have it not fix the problem i was hoping somebody might have some ideas any help would be greatly appreciated im not much of a mechanic but i should be able to answer any questions you need me to

Thanks

ok i can try that after work, thats why i came here im strictly a body man never even heard of Maf cleaner

i checked all the vac lines they all seem to be good and are all going where they are supposed to

IIRC your code about being lean is a common code if you have a vac leak caused by a leaking LIM. Try spraying carb cleaner around the LIM and see if you get a spike in rpm's

When i spraid Right under the MAF I did get a spike in the rpm

Also when i checked the codes today they were, Left bank running lean, MAF low signal, MAP low signal intermitent

Have you ever replaced your LIM gaskets??? If you are getting a spike in RPM's then you have a leak somewhere near there.

I havent, iu am going to this weekend and hope for the best, thanks for the help, i wasnt even thinking of that haha

FWIW there is no left bank. You only have one O2 sensor that is in the combined exhaust stream. Bank 1 on our cars is the one exhaust pipe. Bank 2 is typically in a V8 where you'd have seperate exhaust and a second O2.
