• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

The wonderfull joy of living in a flood plain. I took these pics on friday, and since than the water has gone up almost 5 more inches. All of these are around my house and on the road near it. Our sump pump has ran contiouns for almost 48 hours now. No cycling what so ever. just solid running. Any grass you see is gone. All under water, we actually are boating from the house to the road. Tons of fun.

Theres actually a road behind this camper. Last time I walked over there the water had risen to the point that the tire closest to the door is up to the rim in water.

So yea if anyone needs some water come to wahpeton. we got plenty.

Damn...that looks pretty cool actually....

But really, I hope nothing gets damaged from it...I know how having 3 feet of water in your entire house goes....

I've been to Fargo once, craziest storm I've ever seen was in Fargo. Growing up in MN, it seemed like every year around this time it was time for the red river to flood.

And whats the story with the blue car? What is it? Is it driveable, when its not submerged that is....

yeah, there was some crazy flooding going on over the weekend all over the midwest. hopefully it dries up so you can get on with your lives.

It is for like the first hour. Like im on a boat. in the yard. but after about two trips to the road. ur like eff this.

Its a 1970's opel 1900. My dad used to drive it in highschool, bout three years ago we pulled it out of the trees to restore it. but found way to much wrong with it.

Someone turn off the bathtub. There are dying kids in Africa that would love to have even a little water. And here you are complaining about it. How inconsiderate.

The worst part is we could get it all to drain by cutting one road. Because thats the road that holds all the water back, theres like a four foot difference between water levels on the two sides. Only issue, the county sheriff and his deputy live quarter mile away. And neither one cares for me. Something bout loud pipes at 3 in the morning. I don't Know. something like that. lol

now I see why your truck is lifted. lol.

It dont matter right now, I take my 35s off in the winter and put some smaller studded tires on. We actually use our old suburban, boat, or a canoe.

The other thing that makes this all really weird, this water is connected to the red, so we have been shooting carp in our front yard, its a weird feeling.

There has been some pretty bad flooding around all over here lately. I know up in NE SD there has been a ton of flooding. It seems like every year there is flooding there and up around Fargo. The company my dad works for is based out of Fargo and when there was all the flooding last year or the year before they paid for people whos houses flooded to take a week off and take care of it. They didn't charge them any vacation time or anything.

the river floods here almost every year here too...we usually end up with fish in cornfields....quite funny actually.
