I got to drag race for the first time sunday!!

Soo i finally got some time to do it and i had a great time, It was atleast 85 that day, and i didnt have time to take my headlight out or anything but i did shift differently, What i did was i put it in third and i punched it btw didnt really seem to spin much well anyways as soon as it hit second i put it into second and held it their because it's only an 1/8 track, It sucks theirs no 1/4 tracks in this state well anyways this was my best time. I also raced on regular street tires, so i did bypass the waterbox but i still roasted them every run.

9.233 at 75.89mph

reaction time was 0.673

my 60 was 2.160

and my 330 was 5.986

Manually shifting doesn't really help you, and only wears out your manual bands.

did you turn off your traction control?

do you have all the mods in your sig?? its pretty good, plus it was a hot day, (not trying to rain on your parade, but just saying) i did it on a 60 degree day and ran 9.388 (74mph) with just an intake on my 04. the track is such a blast tho and im sure you had fun

I think that is pretty good for the mods listed...idk thats just me though...especially if no tune was present...your likley to have some substantial knock thogh....and i asked trannyman about the manual shifting thing and he basicly said it's a big no no...i used to do it also...o well good job anyway
