I bet Disney is going to pull out star wars movie sequels out of no where, lame and boring as most of their sequels.
 
Lucas is a genius. He has already made billions off the Star Wars seires and he just sold the rights for another 4 billion. Really, what else was he going to do?
 
Disney will run it until it cant drip any more blood from it. And they will keep releasing new copies of old movies "from the Disney vault" (whatever the hell that means) until the end of time.

George Lucas made out like a bandit though, good for him.
 
Disney literally brings the movie out every x number of years, and once those copies are gone (or they pull them) that's it until they make more.
 


In all honesty if lucas would of made another movie the billions of fans would of criticized it, no way he can keep making the movies bigger and badder then the last. so he did the next best thing, sold it for billions.
 
All I can say is this: Disney owns Marvel and was a force behind The Avengers. That was good, no? So, there is hope for good movie franchise from this. However, they better start telling other stories (Knights of the Old Republic, etc). If they start trying to continue the Skywalker story, they'll just **** it up.
 
Episode 7 is original story. Lucas said the book were canon. Hence disney took a dump on loyal fans.

Still no cares, Im looking forward to star wars theme parks.
 


You all act like Disney makes **** movies? If so then you clearly hate everything Marvel has ever made. Thor, Avengers, etc. Disney makes great movies and I believe in there ability to make some awesome Star Wars movies. Man up people and give Disney a little trust.
 
Oh and btw George Lucas made Red Tails. Which must have literally been one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I really should have been payed to see it.
 
Lol why you guys *****ing? Disney makes good movies nowadays. ALL of the current marvel movies, pirates of the Caribbean.... I'm sure there's more just can't think.
Pits not like they'll be producing "snow white and the seven Jedi" or any goofy ass **** like that.

does any one know if dark horse will still have rights to the name as well? I'll have to look into that...

Props to Lucas, he's got more money than he knows what to do with, but I feel for 7, 8, & 9 in his series. Disney might come through and do them justice, but I'm not holding my breath or placing bets. I think they will go more cartooney than it ever should have been and just ruin it. The books were so good and I doubt it will even compare. Sux, but that's how it goes sometimes. :th_shakinghead2:
