Was on track to becoming an Air Force officer pilot and now I'm out. Officially a civilian after two and a half years. I don't even know, such a weird feeling lol.
 


Your probably going to laugh me right out of here but I will explain anyway. I was suppose to contract back in September for Air Force ROTC. I had gone through Field Training this summer, which is highly selective to even get into. I had completed the requisite tests, had eye surgery anymore then met the requisites for getting my pilot slot. Practically guaranteed. I had spent two and a half years going through training for it. Not nearly the same crap you guys are subjected too. But, I had my whole future set on this and getting in. Now I am getting dropped because sequestration made them hike up one requirement that I couldn't cut. So now my future career just went goodbye. Two and a half years of training to become and officer and live in the military just wasted away. Its a bit surreal at the moment.
