Hello. I recently attempted to changed my supercharger oil since I have no idea if it was ever changed. I just could not get the bolt off. I bought a hand 3/16 allen wrench from harbor freight. The bolt is on there pretty good. It wouldn't budge. The wrench started to feel loose lol. Plus when I was doing it the bolt gave off metal shavings and look rusty. I never really worked on cars before but I'm always looking at other people on youtube and seeing how they do things. Car is a 2005 gtp comp g. Maybe I need a better tool?

If you can find a bit that fits a impact driver, that would work best.

Or slot the plug with a dremal tool and use the big flat blade screw driver. Smack the end with a hammer while you turn it. They sometimes need that smack to help them release their grip.

some times they use a torx bit to get the bolt out, mine was, then it stripped out and i hammered a screw driver in the plug, then with a crescent wrench on the screw driver handle and pushing the screw driver down, turn the wrench on the handle.

Spray a little penetrating oil around the the plug and let it sit for a minute. Then put your allen key in the hole and tap the top of it with a hammer. The hammer will "shock" the threads a little. Once you do that use a wrench of some sort on the allen key for extra leverage. That is exactly what I did on mine when I was in your exact situation.

Penetrating oil won't get to the threads, the seal keeping the oil in keeps the penetrating oil out. Besides the oil on the inside is all over the threads. I rebuild quite a few snouts and even with an impact and correct tool they strip. I don't do any of this on the car but on the work bench. I drill them out and use an easy out. Some of them are really tight, feel like I'm going to snap the easy out. Drilling doesn't work so good on the car because it puts steel chips into the snout.

Regardless of if the penetrating oil got to the threads or not, the rest of the process I did worked. I thought for sure I was going to either snap the allen key, or strip the hole.
