• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I can post on this side now.....

I finnaly have the SC belt on my car, and have boost...... And tons of KR, so I'm in need of a lot of tuning time... but at lease I heard the whine:th_king-normal:

Congrats!! First i would drop to colder plugs. Autolite 104's seem to be the best bet. Then get a 180* t-stat. If your still getting significant Kr try opening up the exhaust a bit more, either headers or plog, and u-bend delete.

How much Kr are you getting btw?

Edit: Oh i noticed you have a tuner also, im kind of curious how much you can eliminate with the tuner alone.

180* stat, autolite 103's (I know too cold)....It is in the tune, I am way lean when the KR hits... I need to adjust MAf and fueling ( I have a ported 98 maf)

id go to the hotter plugs. the 104s should be where you want them at your mod level.

also, you need to have some more work that that car to run alright without knocking a lot. get headers, a plog, rockers, a bigger downpipe..you need something.

2.5 dp and wizardair, and lowered timing should take care of KR on a 3.8 pulley, but my vac leak is throwing all my fueling off..... maybe I need to scale my MAF more...... Ive got a lot of tuning to do, and a vac leak to find :)......

^^^Yeah, if I can only find time.....Also upgrading to TR6IX plugs this week, since my A103 are way too cold, and I cannot stand the idle that they give me

I read more then once on here that lowering timing should be the last thing that should be done to get rid of Kr. I have no experience with tuning so im wondering if someone could explain this to me. Should timing ever be lowered? and if so when?
