Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

HVAC Blower, issue.

First off, I searched a while, found some diagrams and stuff. Killed my back doing the feet on ceiling technique to get the resistor and blower motor off.

I found why it ****ed up ; water leaked inside of it after a snowstorm, fixed it by installing the GM cowl deflector.
(The car's a 2004 Comp-G)

Now changed both fuse, the #30 Battery main 4 under hood and the hvac in the passenger fuse box. This at least gave lift back to the fan, but not in the way I expected it to work.

The blower motor started working right as I plugged it in, on max speed, even with the key out of the ignition. Figured, maybe my resistor is stuck or something, installed a new resistor, seemed good at first, but nothing, even the control didn't work, fan didn't turn on, even with the key in the ignition on position.

Switched back to the old to see if I fried another fuse, no, it did the same, right on cocainum the fan spun like air owed it money with the key out of the ignition.

So here we've got a) The fan works. b) Fuse was burnt since it iced up during snowstorm, changed, power went back to area. c) New resistor doesn't work, old resistor keeps the fan on max, even with key out, and control set to off.

The Temperature actuator works, I hear it working when I turn the knob, the vent pos. actuator works too, I can hear it too as I turn the knob.
Also, my battery seems to drain itself out since I removed the fan/resistor. Why, now?

Trying to fix this myself as my mech is damn busy right now and has no spot on to look at the issue with better equipment than I.

Alright, decided to man up and go work in the dark and cold again, plugged in new resistor once again, pulled out the jumper cable, plugged em on my car and the other car, remote started, let it run, kept the darned things plugged, then it worked, all speed worked. switched seat, put my key in the ignition, pressed on brake to engage control, re-tried, the fan worked as it should. Leaving them in overnight, since I'm not scared of them icing up again with the new cowl deflector, and if it still works tomorrow, I'll be due for a long drive to kick that battery up. Maybe the ol' battery is just due as far as draining go, haven't drove it all week so maybe, maybe.

Though, is it normal that when giving it gas idling, door open, lights open, that after releasing the pedal, it would like drain a bit more power and the voltage would switch to 13.10 for a moment then go back at 14.30 with the dome light slightly fading for a second too?>

And *******, that cowl deflector at 7$ at the stealership, it should come right of the factory. Darned thing, I hate ice build up on the carpet. Now not gonna happen again, so for 7$, and 100$ for the resistor, hopefully this **** is fixed.
