HUD still not working?

So I pulled out my HUD because it was obviously cutting out. It may have not even been working the last few days. I can't remember because it has been awhile before I pulled it out. Anyways, I resoldered the pin closest to the edge and then tried it out...nothing. The mirror still moves though. Then I resoldered the other pin...nothing. I checked continuity along the lines of the inner pin and everything works. I don't know how to check the outer because there isn't any lines to check. The solders look great and I redid the outer one again too. What else is there? Bad photosensor? Thanks
 


Man this thing is making me mad. I resoldered it again and still nothing. Messed around with it for awhile in the car and it started working after one start up. Then shut the car off and turned it back on and nothing again. I'm about to beat it with a hammer.
 
You could replace the diode with one from a wrecked gtp with the auto climate controll. I did this by disassembling the climate controll sensor dome, prying the wire connector apart. The pins on the photo sensor are longer so I drilled out the hole for the photosensor to sit higher in the HUD module and soldered the photosensor from the top and bottom of the circuitboard.
 
Try taking apart the switch, mine had a bunch of the wires for the resistor wheel screwed up, seemed to help a little bit when photo sensor was not fixed.
