So I just swapped a new engine into my car, the last one had a rod knock. I think the issue may be electrical, I'm hoping it's something as simple as a wire hooked up wrong, but here goes.
After finishing my test drive last night, I ran into a few issues. Primarily, the speed on the HUD will go up and down as the engine revs up, if I tap the throttle the HUD will show increasing speed up to 50 mph. The oil pressure light also came on, which I hope is just electrical too, since it doesn't appear on startup until I tap the throttle and the HUD starts acting up.
Any ideas? I wonder if the oil pressure switch and the transmission output shaft speed sensor wires may have gotten hooked up backwards, but I doubt it since they're 2 different shaped connectors.
