HUD 2000 GTP more off than on

Having problems with the HUD on a 200 GTP.

Most of the time it is not visible but it seems a big temp change will cause it to work for a few minutes.

When visible, the dimmer and height adjuster work fine.

Finally got up the courage to fix the HUD. Took about 30 min. most of that was removing and installing hud dash panel. See following link for fix.

was a bit scared to cause damage during solder, I used solder flux on points which cleaned the contacts and made the solder flow easy.

The cold solder trick works almost everytime. Just need to be careful when taken off the trim piece and soldering is a breeze if you have a decent gun.
