HTC Rezound help!!

Alright so long story short. A knife was jabbed into my old HTC Rezound's power button. The lock button therefore doesn't work anymore and is pushed almost inside its slot it held in. This was a couple years back but now i would like it to use the torque app to scan my car. The phone takes a charge and when its plugged in it has the green light on signaling that the battery is fully charged. however i cannot get the screen to light up. So i guess my question is... is there a way to fix this power button (hopefully a diy cheap fix)? is there a way to turn on the phone without that button? (i tried unplugging battery and putting it back in with no result and i also just plugged it in with no battery and it doesn't work). Is my screen bad? it worked right before the knife incident... Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you try to google htc rezound power button replacement if sure you'll find way more information there then on a GP site.
 
True I was just hoping maybe someone was knowledgable on the subject
