How to turn lights on manually?

I'm pretty sure almost all gp light turn on as soon as you turn da key! I just wanted to know, does anybody know what i could do so the lights will turn on only when i want them on, during night time? I'd really appreciate your help! Thanks!

simply pull your DRL (daytime running lights) fuse. In your glove compartment is your fuse box. Pull it open and read the chart to find the DRL fuse. Pull it and your DRL's are disabled. You can now control when you want your lights on. I like to keep the parking and fog lights on without the headlights...looks real nice. hope this helps!

pull the side cover off the dash on the drivers side. Their is a box in their with heating fins on it. Simply unplug that box. That is all i had to do and i think their is a how to write up on that.

Folks seem to be overlooking what you asked:

You also have to disconnect the automatic headlight feature, or the lights will come on by themselves at night. The DRL will still have to be disabled, as has been mentioned, but for nighttime control there is this added step.

Good thing you wrote that i was just going to write that they still do come on at night with just that box unhooked.

As stated disconnecting the connection to the heat sink on the drivers side panel will disable the DRL's but not the auto light feature. To disable the auto light feature there is a fuse behind the glove box that you need to pull. I forget which one. Did it awhile ago. That disables the auto light feature and allows you to manually control your head lights. I did this on my 99 and it works great.

I forgot to add that this works for 97-99 and some 00's. Some 00's and up are different and this does not work. Refer to this site for more info that will work for all years.

I pulled my DRL fuse today too because I'm getting HIDs. Is this going to avoid the flicker problem?
