How to replace the ignition key?

I hope it is appropriate to post here. I lost the only ignition key of my 2000 buick regal ls. The key has a chip on it.
I wonder what is the best solution? Will dealer be able to cut a key for me based on VIN number? How much it will cost?

dealer can do it based on the vin, but you'll need proof of ownership.

$20-50. Check your pocket for your key, I lost mine there one night.

mine is a 94 and the key is chipped and years ago they charged 75
