How to remove Power Steering pressure line?

Hi all --

I've got a 2007 GP GT, and made my first attempt at replacing my PS pump. (fluid is always full, yet it groans like a cat dumped into a bathtub) I've read the "how-to" thread here on replacing the PS pump, but cannot get past a certain part! I am having the most trouble removing the power steering lines from the pump itself.

Any pointers on how to remove the pressure line? My Haynes Manual makes it sound so easy -- "use a flare nut wrench and a backup wrench...." yet I can barely get my hands in there, let alone get 2 wrenches in there! I've tried it from above, and with the passenger wheel off, but am just stuck. Also, what size wrenches for the nuts on the pressure line?

Frustrated as all getup, but any help is much appreciated.

Not sure if you are still working on the project but here are a few things...

OK though I have the 3.4. which the PS pump is insanely easy to remove, but stilll...

OK for the size wrench, if you are wanting to use a "line" style wrench, just use the open end of a combination wrench to see what fits best and then buy a corresponding line wrench (if you ain't got one)

I don't know where the thing is situated on your engine but it might require the removal of other components to get to it.

One thing - you may have to pull the pump completely and maneuver it , best you can, with the lines attached. Then just get a better angle. YOu may not have to use a back-up wrench, I know on my pump the nut holding the line in place came right off. The return line was just clamped on with a typical hose clamy that you tighten with a screwdriver.
