How to Remove Factory Stereo 2001 GP GT

Hi All,

I couldn't find the answer through a search on the site on this so I thought I would post this up.

I am trying to remove the factory stereo for my 2001 GP I see that the 'vents' and attached plastic need to come off so I can get at the stereo.

How do I do this? Where do I start?

You have to take off the dash panel to get the radio out.
take the panel under the steering wheel off, there are two fasteners. undo them then unscrew it and pull it out. then you can just pop the dash panel out.
disconnect the fog lamp switch and then you can get to the radio
