How to install new front speakers on a 97 Pontiac Grand Prix?

I am trying to install a new pair of 5.25 frontal speakers in my 1997 Grand Prix. I have the 8 speaker sytem with the tweeters at the door. When I removed the stock speaker, I saw that the tweeter is connected to the same feed as the big speaker with a stock adapter.

How can I connect the tweeter now to the new speaker which only have two bare metal plugs for the main feed?

These are the speakers I am trying to install:

splice the tweeter wires into the 5.25's with out adapter.if by chance u have the bose amp in ur car...the new speakers are gonna sound like crap.

No, I dont have the Bose system. Just a question: Where are the crossovers for the tweeters, since the are connected to the same wires as the big lower speaker?
