how to access light for ashtray and gear shift selector

Hi, looking for any info and tips to gain access to the ashtray and gear selector bulbs to swap out to led's without causing damage.
 


Surely I can skip a step or 5 in that write up. Looks like I might just leave the stock bulbs in those particular locations until I have a major need to open up the interior. Thanks for the link.
