How safe is it to drive with broken sway bar

i was drivin down the road when i heard some knocking every time i hit a bump. turns out the sway bar had broke right next to the linkage. im really short on money so i cant get the part yet to replace it.

and this leads to my question...... How safe is it to drive with the sway bar like that? would it be better to remove it until i get money to replace it/ and, Is there any other damage i should be worried about?

Re: simple question... need answer

Front sway bar? I took mine off. I have not noticed any difference without it. If I were you I would take it off and not worry about getting another one.

Re: simple question... need answer

Yeah lol. I had gotten all the new bushings for it but took it off because i thought it was contributing to a vibration that i had. Took it off noticed no difference so i just left it off. Did the same on my mustang now that i think of it.

I have mine disconnected all the time on my lifted wrangler and can go down the interstate just fine. I would probably take it out tho so it can not flop around and hit anything.

and since you're is broken i'm sure it will make it a LOT easier to remove.

Take it off and leave it off if its a drag car. otherwise get a new one when you have to money. sway bars are there for a reason but you can certainly drive without it but youre gonna notice.

Its not particularly unsafe to drive without the sway bar. Off roaders do it all the time to get more flex in the front end to crawl over rocks. It will most definitely affect handling but it would only get really dangerous if you did some emergency maneuvers or something like that as it wont respond correctly and will likely take more steering input.
