How much gas do I really have?

So my gas gauge has recently deided to take on a mind of it's own and do whatever it likes. Does this mean my sending unit is shot?

That would be my first thought, unless someone is siphoning off your fuel stocking up in case gas prices go crazy again.

i don't think that's it because it seems to reed full a lot even though its not haha

Most likely the sending unit. I had one that would read full with anything less than quarter tank. So you either had a full tank, or an almost empty one when the gauge read full.

But I just bought a complete fuel pump from Ed. It was about the same price as a sending unit, and then I had a lower mile fuel pump, and an additional extra one in the garage. :th_thumbsup-wink:
