How many ohm resistors to get rid of hyperblink?

So I replaced the incandescent lights in my front turn signals with LED lights. Now since I have an 05' I can't just add a LED style blinker and be done with it. I thought I had the old bulbs to measure the resistance and then connect and measure current hot, but I think I threw them away. I searched the board and came up with "you need 21 Watts of resistance" which works out to about 1.75 ohm (edit: 8 ohms) Is this the correct amount because I was thinking I had used about 6-8 ohms last time I ran into an issue like this on another car?
