Why do you have to take it off to mount ballasts. Plenty of room to mount the ballasts with the headlights out. Mine are under the lights on the supports, but should be able to find easy mounting locations without too much disassembly.

13 , damn lots of screws. thanks for high lite that! i want to hide the ballast box that's why i want to put there. i think that's the popular spot where everybody theirs.

That's cool. I've never heard of anyone removing all of that to install HIDs unless they had 4-6 ballasts.

Can't see mine unless I take out the headlight. Here's a couple pics with everything hooked up just sitting in the current location.

thanks for posting that jay. if the first method give me lot of problem i'll mount like yours. did you only use the 3m double side tape? on my monte carlo i got alot of room. i mounted right behind the bumper cover and it's way, way easy to get to the bumper frame than the gp.

silver, here's how I did it on my Impala. Worked great, but something in the back of my mind decided I'd rather move them to the bumper support so they're more shielded from water. I never saw them wet, but I'm OCD like that.

Should work for others, though.
