How do you remove the applique on a 97-03?

The exterior metal pillar piece between the two doors, wondering how to remove it so I can paint mine. Tried to find a write-up or a video on the internet but I couldn't find anything.

The exterior metal pillar piece between the two doors, wondering how to remove it so I can paint mine. Tried to find a write-up or a video on the internet but I couldn't find anything.

Removal Procedure
1. Pull down and reposition the front door weatherstrip in order to gain access to the applique screws.

2. Remove the screws from the front door frame applique.( about 4 screws in different directions)
3. Remove the front door frame applique from the front door.
