how do i make it go fast?

Ok another new guy here, Ive got a 99 4dr Silver GTP with 171k miles on it. I bought the car from my brother in law right before he left over seas. I spend most of my time bulding diesel trucks, Few details about it, It hit hard in the front end bent the front support, pushed the motor into the coolant tank burning a hole in it, condenser is bowed and leaked out, radiator is bowed but holds water, the support was bent back and a new bumper was put on but it still has a a hole in the reservoir and the rad is still bent and the a/c is still in op. (he cheap fixed it to make road worthy)the rockers at the rear show rust under the doors, one has a good sized hole. few dents and dings, interior is descent, door panels are litterally just falling apart, dash has a few cracks, passenger seat is worn torn, other than that its a great car,

my first thoughts after buying it was simply to drive it till it died as a beater but ive really grown to love this car as it really hauls!!! I cant explain it but it still has a hole in the coolant tank, the coolant is nasty looking, it leaks oil like crazy and stinks, i run 89oct, but it never quits and when you drop the hammer she flys!

Im hoping this car isnt too far gone as i would like to play with it a bit, ive read up on a few mods but really dont know where the best bang for the buck is and where to start. Obviously i need to get the rad and fans fixed and the coolant tank with a good flush but what else do i need to do to keep this ole girl alive, I would like to hit the 300hp mark. The underbody is rusty as i said but there is no visible rust from the outside and it really shines up very nice. Oh and dont bother jacking it from the pinch welds.. jack goes up, car doesnt.

My thoughts at this point ill most likely leave the interior alone, the body what can be done? wait for it to fold on me?? I figured I can still play with tho motor and if the car goes to junk I can pull the parts or the motor and swap into the next one. what sort of mileage is too late to start modding? can the rockers be repaired reasonably? I know the first thing ill be told is change the charger oil but im looking at possibly throwing on a bigger charger with injectors etc. but dont know what i should do for intake, exhaust or any other supporting mods it will require... shes will be in the sleeper club for sure.. thanks in advance!
 


junk yard can be your best friend, alot of the things you mentioned can be sloved with a couple hours and little cash
 
Welcome to the site. Just dont pop the engine. Your mileage is close to mine. So mod lighty and with care. Best bet do a compression test see where the motor stands before you mod. Make sure that it is with In 10% of the highest number. For example if #4 is 167 the rest should be min of 151 or there abouts.

Unplug injectors while doing compression test with the plugs out I assume?

Yeah I'm not sure what I want to do, I'll give the motor a good once over before a spend any money, changed the oil yesterday and the cap has some coolant sludge on if, and there is a tiny trace of oil in the coolant, intake gaskets?? Valley of the motor is pretty oily.. Like I said I can always take the parts/motor with me when the body folds but its a pretty big leap to assume ill buy another car.. Thanks for the input!!
