Hood Latch Question?

Hi, new here, I had a fender bender with my 99' grand prix and did a number on the front end. I'm buying parts for it and need the hood latch and support bracket for it. I found one on ebay for a 98' but it says it's only compatible with that year? I was thinking that the hood latch and support bracket would be compatible with the 99' too? Just need to know if it will fit or not before buying it, any help will be greatly appreciated!

you should have no problem, at most it might not have holes or have extra holes for an air bag collision sensor/etc.

from what I can see the latch and center support is common across all W bodies as only the outer body tin is changed.

I don't see you having a problem its likely they are just CYA'n

Thank you very much, I bought a new hood and front bumper cover and bumper cover support. But the paining is costing more than I thought it would so thought I would save a little money and buy a used hood latch and support bracket. I thought most of those parts were compatible with the 97' through 2003', but I thought I might have been mistaken? Just wanted to double check with some experts in here who know more than I do.

I would look elsewhere for compatibility. eBay ads rely on the seller to know what they are selling and to properly put things in the compatibility data. There have been many things that I knew were compatible with various cars, yet an eBay ad said they were not compatible. I bought anyway and used as intended.
