Honestly, which is better? L36/L26

Ok, in eveyone's opinion, which would be the better engine to have in my 98 GP GT. The Series II L36 or Series III L26? And what would be the best to swap over from either engine to the engine going into it, for it to be "better"? Besides the supercharged top swap, which I am not even considering. I am waiting for an 05' GP 3.8 L26 with 75,000 miles to get delivered, freight company is dragging their feet, and I still need to pull my L36 out of the GP. Previous owner had an "intake gasket" replaced, and that week the car shut down on him after it was "fixed, and I haven't tore into it yet, could be as easy as the right gaskets, who knows. It's a winter project, so I got time to decide what to do with it. Thoughts, opinions, feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on what you are looking to do in the long run. L26's don't appear to like boost from what I'm hearing. If you want to turbo/top swap, I'd suggest L36. Daily driving.. go L26

Parts: I'm a huge fan of the aluminum oil pan, it's engine mount and the aluminum upper intake. Yet the 98's intake can be used easily if you plug the coolant ports at the LIM. (see Modding a LIM thread)

That's about all I feel are the differences that matter.
