holset hx35 anyone ?

hey im upgrading to a holset hx35 and i want to know what i need to do to run this turbo or has anybody run this turbo ?? i think i need to change the turbine housing to a t3 to remove the internql wastegate or should i just leave it on ?

im upgrading my turbo im not starting i already had a turbonetics but mess up so now im puttingon a holset hx35 is anyone runnning this turbo ?
 
Plenty of people run this style turbo guy...there is also google too to help in your search. I know plenty of people running this turbo and they love it.
 
Couldn't tell ya...I'm not a turblow guy.

They are running them on DSM's and Nissan's...soooo lol, not a Grand Prix. In fact there are no turbo GP's in my area.
 


Umm why do you have duplicate threads again in the turbo section?
Mods need to get ahold of this entire turbo section and combine threads
 
Why not pull the compressor map and read it to find out? Then do the math and zing you have your answer. ;)
 
I ran one for years and years... made about 430whp with it.... Spool was sinister....

I ran stock 12cm exhaust... Blocking the factory wastegate flap was cake.
 
Perfect thats something that i wanted to hear what im going to do with the internal wastegate issue im going to change the turbine housing for a non wastaged or maybe just a garrett t3 housing!

You would end up spending more on converting exhaust housings than you would on the turbo itself....


Just cram a bolt, weld, or otherwise get in the way of the factory flapper... It takes less than 2 minutes and zero dollars to block one off....
